Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GALNT13, a member of the glycosyltransferase family, plays a crucial role in the modification of glycoproteins and proteoglycans by adding N-acetylgalactosamine residues, a process known as O-glycosylation. Research has highlighted its significance in various physiological processes, including cell signaling, development, and immune response. Abnormal GALNT13 activity is linked to several diseases, notably cancer, where altered glycosylation patterns can influence tumor progression and metastasis. Studies have shown that GALNT13 may affect cell adhesion and migration, important factors in cancer biology. Moreover, its expression levels can serve as potential biomarkers for certain malignancies. To further understand GALNT13's function and therapeutic potential, researchers are focusing on the production of recombinant GALNT13 proteins. This approach allows for detailed structural and functional analyses, enabling the exploration of its catalytic mechanisms and interactions with other cellular components. By using recombinant GALNT13, scientists aim to develop targeted therapies that could modulate glycosylation patterns, paving the way for novel treatment strategies in diseases where GALNT13 is implicated. Overall, the study of recombinant GALNT13 protein is positioned at the intersection of basic research and translational medicine, offering insights into both fundamental biological processes and potential clinical applications.
