Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GALNT4, or GalNAc transferase 4, plays a pivotal role in the glycosylation process, particularly in the initiation of O-linked glycan synthesis on proteins. Its importance is underscored by its involvement in various biological processes, including cell adhesion, signaling, and cancer progression. Studies have shown that GALNT4 is crucial for the proper modification of specific target proteins, which can subsequently influence their stability, localization, and function. Dysregulation of GALNT4 expression has been associated with several diseases, including certain types of cancer and metabolic disorders, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. As a result, research on GALNT4 recombinant proteins aims to elucidate its structure-function relationship, explore its enzymatic activity, and understand its role in pathological conditions. By generating and characterizing recombinant GALNT4, scientists can investigate its substrate specificity and contribute to the development of glycosylation inhibitors or enhancers, paving the way for novel strategies in therapeutic interventions and biomarker discovery. This research not only advances the fundamental understanding of glycosylation biology but also holds promise for clinical applications in disease diagnostics and treatment.
