Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GALNT10, a member of the polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase (GALNT) enzyme family, plays a pivotal role in the process of O-glycosylation, a vital post-translational modification that affects protein function, stability, and interactions. This specific enzyme is responsible for catalyzing the initial step of adding N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) to serine or threonine residues on target proteins, thus influencing various biological processes, including cell signaling, cancer progression, and immune response. Research on GALNT10 has garnered interest due to its potential implications in diseases such as cancer, where altered O-glycosylation patterns can contribute to tumorigenesis and metastasis. Understanding the structure-function relationship of GALNT10 and its substrate specificity is essential for elucidating its biological roles and for exploring potential therapeutic interventions. The generation of recombinant GALNT10 protein is critical for biochemical assays, structural studies, and high-throughput screening efforts aimed at identifying substrates and inhibitors. As research progresses, GALNT10 may emerge as a significant biomarker or therapeutic target, highlighting the importance of continued investigation into its function and regulation within cellular systems.
