Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GALNAC4S-6ST, or GalNAc 4-O-sulfotransferase, is a key enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of sulfated glycosaminoglycans, particularly heparan sulfate and keratan sulfate. These glycosaminoglycans play crucial roles in various biological processes, including cell signaling, development, and inflammation. The regulation of sulfation patterns by enzymes like GALNAC4S-6ST is vital for maintaining cellular functions and tissue homeostasis. Aberrant sulfation has been associated with several pathologies, including cancer, inflammation, and various genetic disorders. Therefore, studying the structure and function of GALNAC4S-6ST is of significant interest in glycobiology and therapeutic development. Understanding its enzymatic mechanism, substrate specificity, and regulatory pathways could unveil new insights into glycosaminoglycan-related diseases and facilitate the design of targeted therapies or biotechnological applications. Furthermore, recombinant protein production of GALNAC4S-6ST allows for detailed biochemical characterization and potential applications in drug development, highlighting its relevance in both basic and applied research contexts.
