Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of PS2 (Presenilin 2) recombinant proteins has gained significant attention in the field of neuroscience and Alzheimer's disease research. PS2 is a crucial component of the gamma-secretase complex, which is responsible for the proteolytic processing of Amyloid Precursor Protein (APP) into amyloid-beta peptides. Abnormal accumulation of these peptides is a hallmark of Alzheimer's disease, making PS2 a critical factor in understanding the disease's pathogenesis. Mutations in the PS2 gene have been linked to familial Alzheimer’s disease, highlighting its role in familial forms of the disorder. Research on recombinant PS2 proteins enables scientists to investigate their structure, function, and interactions with other proteins within the gamma-secretase complex. This research provides insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying Alzheimer's disease, offering potential targets for therapeutic interventions aimed at modulating amyloid-beta production. Additionally, understanding the post-translational modifications of PS2 can shed light on its regulatory mechanisms and influence on gamma-secretase activity. Overall, the investigation of recombinant PS2 proteins is vital for unveiling the complexities of Alzheimer's disease and advancing the development of effective treatments.
