Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MTF2 (Metal Regulatory Transcription Factor 2) is a pivotal protein that plays a significant role in cellular metal ion regulation and oxidative stress response. Research surrounding MTF2 has gained momentum due to its involvement in various biological processes, including the modulation of gene expression linked to metal homeostasis, cell survival, and apoptosis. Mutations or dysregulation of MTF2 have been associated with several pathological conditions, including neurodegenerative diseases and certain cancers. As a transcription factor, MTF2 binds to metal response elements in the promoter regions of target genes, facilitating the expression of genes that help mitigate metal toxicity and oxidative damage. Recent studies have focused on elucidating the structural characteristics and functional mechanisms of MTF2, revealing its potential as a therapeutic target for diseases related to metal ion imbalance. Moreover, its role in epigenetic regulation has opened new avenues for understanding cellular adaptation to environmental stresses. Overall, research on MTF2 not only provides insights into fundamental biological mechanisms but also holds promise for developing novel strategies to combat diseases linked to metal dysregulation and oxidative stress.
