Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PCDH1 (Protocadherin 1) is a member of the cadherin superfamily that plays a critical role in neural development and synaptic function. It is an essential cell adhesion molecule that is predominantly expressed in the brain, particularly in regions associated with neural circuit formation. Research into PCDH1 has gained momentum due to its potential implications in neurodevelopmental disorders and neurological diseases. Studies have shown that PCDH1 is involved in the establishment of synaptic specificity, providing insights into how neurons form connections with precise partners. Disruptions in PCDH1 function have been linked to various conditions, including autism spectrum disorders and epilepsy, highlighting the importance of understanding its molecular mechanisms. The recombinant expression of PCDH1 protein facilitates structural and functional studies, enabling researchers to explore its interactions with other proteins and its role in cellular signaling pathways. Investigating the biophysical properties and biological functions of PCDH1 can shed light on the underlying mechanisms of neuronal connectivity and the potential for therapeutic targets in treating neurodevelopmental disorders. Overall, the study of PCDH1 recombinant protein is crucial for uncovering its role in brain development and the functional implications of its dysregulation in disease contexts.
