Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CDK8 (Cyclin-Dependent Kinase 8) is a key regulatory protein complex involved in the modulation of transcription and signaling pathways. As a member of the cyclin-dependent kinase family, CDK8 plays a crucial role in cell cycle regulation and transcriptional control by phosphorylating various target proteins. Its dysregulation has been implicated in numerous diseases, including cancer, where it can contribute to oncogene activation and tumor progression. Research has revealed that CDK8 acts as a co-activator in the transcriptional machinery, influencing the activity of several transcription factors. The understanding of its structure and function has paved the way for investigations into CDK8 as a potential therapeutic target. Recent studies have focused on characterizing CDK8 as a bipartite complex with several interacting partners, highlighting its significance in the differentiation of stem cells and response to environmental cues. Furthermore, the exploration of CDK8 inhibitors has gained momentum as a strategy for cancer treatment, as these small molecules can disrupt its activity and thus alter aberrant transcriptional programs associated with malignancy. Consequently, CDK8's role in orchestrating cellular processes makes it a focal point in biomedical research, prompting ongoing efforts to elucidate its mechanisms and therapeutic potential.
