Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
UGT1A6 is a member of the UDP-glucuronosyltransferase (UGT) family, which plays a crucial role in the metabolism and detoxification of endogenous compounds and xenobiotics through glucuronidation. This biotransformation process typically enhances the solubility of substances, facilitating their excretion from the body. UGT1A6, in particular, is known for its involvement in the conjugation of various drugs and endogenous substrates, such as bilirubin, steroid hormones, and certain environmental pollutants. Research has shown that variations in the expression and activity of UGT1A6 can lead to significant differences in drug metabolism, potentially influencing therapeutic outcomes and the incidence of adverse drug reactions. Given the enzyme's importance in pharmacokinetics, there is growing interest in the characterization and functional study of UGT1A6 through recombinant protein expression. By producing and purifying UGT1A6 as a recombinant protein, researchers aim to analyze its enzymatic activity, substrate specificity, and regulatory mechanisms. Such studies are vital for understanding individual variations in drug metabolism and developing personalized medicine approaches. Furthermore, insights gleaned from UGT1A6 research have potential implications in drug development, toxicology, and understanding metabolic diseases. As the demand for effective therapeutic strategies increases, the significance of clarifying the roles and mechanisms of enzymes like UGT1A6 becomes increasingly apparent in advancing pharmacological science.
