Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
TUBB4, or tubulin beta-4, is a critical component of the cytoskeleton and plays a vital role in various cellular functions, including cell shape, motility, and division. Research on TUBB4 has gained significant attention due to its involvement in several neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders, such as intellectual disability, lissencephaly, and certain forms of spastic paraplegia. Mutations in the TUBB4 gene can disrupt normal microtubule dynamics, leading to deficits in neuronal function and stability. The recombinant expression of TUBB4 protein has become an essential tool for studying its structure-function relationships and the effects of specific mutations. By producing TUBB4 in a laboratory setting, researchers can explore its interactions with other cellular proteins, the mechanisms underlying its role in disease, and potential therapeutic targets. Moreover, the availability of purified TUBB4 protein enables in vitro assays to evaluate its biochemical properties, such as polymerization dynamics and interactions with microtubule-associated proteins. Understanding the biophysical characteristics and pathological implications of TUBB4 further enriches our knowledge of cytoskeletal dynamics and cellular integrity, with the potential to inform the development of targeted interventions for associated disorders. Overall, the study of recombinant TUBB4 proteins is crucial for decoding the complexities of microtubule biology and its relevance to health and disease.
