  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

FBXO40, a member of the F-box protein family, plays a critical role in the ubiquitin-proteasome system, which is essential for regulating protein turnover and cellular homeostasis. This family of proteins is characterized by their F-box motif, enabling them to function as substrates for the SCF (Skp1-Cullin-F-box) E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, facilitating the targeted ubiquitination of specific proteins. Recent research has highlighted FBXO40's involvement in various biological processes, including cell cycle regulation, differentiation, and responses to stress. Abnormal expression or mutation of FBXO40 has been linked to several diseases, notably cancer, where it may influence tumor progression and response to therapy. Understanding the mechanisms underlying FBXO40's function may provide insights into its potential as a therapeutic target or biomarker in cancer and other diseases. Researchers have been exploring the production and characterization of recombinant FBXO40 to dissect its functional properties, protein interactions, and downstream signaling pathways. This approach enables the investigation of how FBXO40 regulates various cellular functions and its implications in disease pathology. Improved knowledge of FBXO40 may not only enhance our understanding of fundamental biological processes but also contribute to the development of novel therapeutic strategies that target its regulatory pathways.
