  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Bone Morphogenetic Protein 1 (BMP1) is a member of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) superfamily, playing a crucial role in bone and cartilage formation. BMP1 functions as a secreted protein that activates the extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling process, influencing various biological processes such as embryogenesis, tissue repair, and homeostasis. The importance of BMP1 in skeletal development has led researchers to investigate its potential therapeutic applications, particularly in orthopedic medicine and regenerative therapies. Recombinant BMP1 protein can be produced through molecular cloning techniques, allowing for detailed studies of its biochemical properties and cellular interactions. Understanding the structure-function relationship of BMP1 is vital for deciphering its role in diseases related to bone dysplasia and osteoarthritis. Additionally, as BMP1 interacts with several other proteins within the TGF-β superfamily, elucidating these interactions could pave the way for novel treatment strategies targeting diseases associated with abnormal bone formation or repair. The ongoing research in BMP1 recombinant protein is expected to enhance our knowledge of bone biology, leading to innovative approaches in the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
