Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PEX1 is a crucial gene that encodes a peroxin protein involved in the biogenesis of peroxisomes, which are essential cellular organelles responsible for various metabolic processes, including the oxidation of fatty acids and the detoxification of reactive oxygen species. Mutations in the PEX1 gene are associated with Zellweger spectrum disorders, a group of severe genetic conditions that lead to profound developmental issues and metabolic dysfunction due to impaired peroxisomal function. Research into PEX1 recombinant proteins has gained prominence as scientists aim to understand the structure-function relationships of the protein and its role in peroxisome assembly and maintenance. The study of PEX1 recombinant proteins not only provides insights into the underlying mechanisms of peroxisomal disorders but also facilitates the development of potential therapeutic strategies, such as enzyme replacement therapies or gene therapies. By characterizing the functional domains and interactions of PEX1 recombinant proteins, researchers hope to uncover novel approaches for correcting the defects caused by PEX1 mutations, ultimately improving the prognosis for individuals affected by related disorders. Furthermore, this research contributes to the broader understanding of peroxisomal biogenesis and its implications for metabolic diseases, paving the way for advancements in both molecular biology and clinical applications.
