Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GLDC (glycine decarboxylase) is a crucial mitochondrial enzyme that plays a vital role in the metabolism of glycine, an amino acid involved in various physiological processes. The dysfunction of GLDC has been linked to several metabolic disorders, including non-ketotic hyperglycinemia, a condition characterized by elevated glycine levels in the blood and severe neurological symptoms. Research into the structure and function of GLDC is essential for understanding its catalytic mechanism and the regulation of glycine metabolism. Recombinant production of GLDC proteins allows for detailed biochemical studies, including enzyme kinetics and interaction with other metabolic pathways. Furthermore, investigating GLDC's role in cellular processes can provide insights into therapeutic approaches for related disorders and enhance our understanding of mitochondrial function in health and disease. Given its critical involvement in amino acid metabolism and potential implications in various pathologies, the study of GLDC and its recombinant forms is of significant interest in biochemical and medical research.
