Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The TSEN54 protein is a crucial component of the tRNA splicing endonuclease complex, which plays a significant role in the maturation of tRNA molecules by catalyzing the removal of introns from precursor tRNA transcripts. Mutations in the TSEN54 gene have been linked to a rare neurodegenerative disorder known as pontocerebellar hypoplasia (PCH), characterized by underdevelopment of specific brain regions, resulting in severe developmental delays and motor impairments. Understanding the structure and function of the TSEN54 protein is therefore essential for elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying PCH and related disorders. Recent studies have employed recombinant protein techniques to produce TSEN54, allowing researchers to investigate its enzymatic activity, interaction with other components of the tRNA splicing pathway, and the impact of disease-associated mutations on its function. This research is pivotal not only for understanding the basic biology of tRNA processing but also for identifying potential therapeutic avenues for conditions stemming from TSEN54-related dysfunction. Given the critical role of tRNA maturation in cellular health and the implications of its dysregulation in disease, the comprehensive study of TSEN54 is a vital focus area in both molecular biology and medical research, contributing to our broader understanding of genetic disorders and potential interventions.
