Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
IFI16 (Interferon gamma-inducible protein 16) is a member of the HIN-200 family of proteins and plays a crucial role in the innate immune response. It is known for its ability to recognize and bind to foreign DNA, including viral and bacterial pathogens, thereby triggering a series of immune responses. Research suggests that IFI16 is involved in the detection of cytoplasmic DNA, which helps to activate the AIM2 inflammasome and induce the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. Additionally, IFI16 has been implicated in various cellular processes, including transcriptional regulation and the modulation of antiviral immunity. Its role in various diseases, such as cancer and autoimmune disorders, has garnered significant attention, leading to investigations into its potential as a therapeutic target. The study of recombinant IFI16 proteins allows researchers to elucidate its structure-function relationships, enhance our understanding of its biological roles, and explore its therapeutic potential in guiding interventions against infections and inflammatory conditions.
