Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
FAM116B is a relatively uncharacterized protein that belongs to the family of FAM116 proteins, which are implicated in various cellular processes, including endosomal trafficking and autophagy. Research into FAM116B has gained interest due to its potential role in cellular homeostasis and disease mechanisms, particularly in neurodegenerative disorders and cancer. Studies have suggested that FAM116B may participate in the regulation of lysosomal function and play a role in the clearance of damaged proteins and organelles through autophagy. Understanding the biochemical properties and functional roles of FAM116B could provide insights into its contribution to disease pathology, as dysregulation in autophagy and lysosomal activity has been linked to various health conditions. The generation of recombinant FAM116B protein facilitates in-depth studies of its structure and function, allowing scientists to explore its interactions with other cellular components and its influence on cellular signaling pathways. Moreover, elucidating the mechanisms by which FAM116B operates could open avenues for therapeutic interventions targeting its dysfunction, thus highlighting its significance in biomedical research.
