Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
FAM116A, or Family with Sequence Similarity 116 Member A, is a protein that plays a significant role in various cellular processes, including autophagy, cell growth, and apoptosis. Recent studies have suggested that FAM116A may be involved in the regulation of endosomal trafficking and membrane dynamics, which are crucial for cellular homeostasis and response to environmental stress. The exploration of FAM116A's molecular mechanisms is particularly relevant in the context of cancer research, where altered autophagic processes can lead to tumor progression and resistance to therapy. Additionally, FAM116A has been implicated in certain neurological disorders, positioning it as a potential biomarker or therapeutic target. Given its diverse functions and implications in human diseases, the recombinant expression of FAM116A protein has attracted attention for further investigation. Researchers are focusing on producing and characterizing this protein to better understand its structure-function relationships and interactions within cellular pathways. The availability of recombinant FAM116A will facilitate studies on its biochemical properties, functional roles, and the development of strategies aimed at modulating its activity for therapeutic purposes. Overall, understanding FAM116A's function through recombinant protein studies could provide insights into its potential utility as a target for intervention in various diseases, emphasizing the need for continued research in this emerging area of molecular biology.
