Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
UBE3A is an E3 ubiquitin ligase that plays a crucial role in the ubiquitin-proteasome system, which regulates protein degradation and involves various cellular processes, including cell cycle progression, DNA repair, and synaptic plasticity. Mutations or deletions in the UBE3A gene are linked to several neurodevelopmental disorders, most notably Angelman syndrome, characterized by severe intellectual disability, speech impairment, and ataxia. Understanding the function and regulatory mechanisms of UBE3A is pivotal, as it is primarily expressed from the paternal allele in neurons due to a phenomenon known as genomic imprinting, leading to challenges in therapeutic strategies. Recent research has focused on developing recombinant UBE3A proteins to investigate their structure-function relationships, regulatory pathways, and potential as therapeutic agents. Such studies aim to explore UBE3A's role in neuronal function and its implications in synaptic health, with the hope of identifying novel intervention strategies for Angelman syndrome and other related conditions. By generating and characterizing UBE3A recombinant proteins, researchers can better elucidate the molecular underpinnings of UBE3A-related disorders and potentially develop targeted treatments that could restore normal protein function or compensate for its absence in neurological contexts.
