Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PTPRK, or Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase Receptor Type K, is a member of the receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase family, which plays a critical role in various cellular processes, including cell signaling, adhesion, and proliferation. Research has shown that PTPRK is involved in the regulation of crucial signaling pathways that contribute to cell growth and differentiation, particularly in the context of cancer and other diseases. Studies have highlighted its role in modulating the activities of various tyrosine kinases, thereby influencing the balance between phosphorylation and dephosphorylation in cellular signaling networks. Additionally, PTPRK has been associated with epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT), a key process implicated in cancer metastasis. Given its potential as a therapeutic target, characterizing PTPRK's structure and function through recombinant protein studies is essential for understanding its specific mechanistic roles and for developing targeted therapies. The recombinant expression of PTPRK allows researchers to produce large quantities of the protein for functional assays, structural studies, and potential drug interaction screenings, thus providing insights into its regulatory mechanisms in health and disease. By elucidating the function of PTPRK at a molecular level, this research contributes to the broader understanding of cell signaling dynamics and the potential for innovative treatment strategies in cancer and other pathologies.
