  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

RETNLb, or RETN-like protein b, is a member of the resistin-like molecule family, which plays a crucial role in the regulation of immune responses and inflammation. This protein has garnered interest due to its potential involvement in various physiological and pathological processes, particularly in the context of metabolic disorders, obesity, and autoimmune diseases. Elevated levels of RETNLb have been observed in individuals with obesity, suggesting a link between this protein and metabolic dysregulation. Additionally, emerging evidence highlights its role in modulating macrophage function and promoting inflammation, which could contribute to the pathogenesis of chronic diseases. The exploration of RETNLb as a therapeutic target is driven by its dual function in inflammation and metabolism, presenting opportunities for interventions aimed at mitigating the effects of obesity-related complications and autoimmune responses. Furthermore, understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying RETNLb's activity may reveal novel insights into its role as a biomarker for disease progression and a potential drug target in the context of metabolic and inflammatory diseases. Ongoing research efforts focus on characterizing RETNLb's structure, function, and interactions within biological systems to harness its potential for therapeutic development and to elucidate its broader implications in health and disease.
