  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

EHMT1 (Euchromatic Histone Methyltransferase 1) is a key enzyme involved in the methylation of histone H3 at lysine 9 (H3K9me2), playing a crucial role in the regulation of gene expression and chromatin structure. This enzyme is particularly significant in the context of developmental processes and cell differentiation. Mutations in the EHMT1 gene are associated with a genetic disorder known as Kleefstra syndrome, characterized by cognitive impairment, developmental delays, and distinct facial features. Research on EHMT1 recombinant protein has gained attention as scientists aim to understand its structural properties, enzymatic activity, and interactions with other proteins in the epigenetic landscape. By producing recombinant EHMT1 protein, researchers can study its methyltransferase activity in vitro, explore its role in modulating chromatin dynamics, and assess the effects of various mutations on its functionality. Moreover, elucidating the biochemical pathway of EHMT1 can provide insights into the broader implications of histone methylation in health and disease, paving the way for potential therapeutic interventions targeting aberrant epigenetic modifications. Through these studies, the role of EHMT1 in epigenetic regulation and its implications for human health are becoming increasingly clear, highlighting its importance as a research focus in the field of molecular biology and genetics.
