Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
TEKT1, or Tektin 1, is a crucial protein that plays an essential role in the structural organization and function of cilia and flagella, which are critical for cell motility and sensing. Research on TEKT1 has garnered attention due to its involvement in various cellular processes, particularly in reproductive biology, where it is notably expressed in sperm cells. Its unique filamentous structure is believed to contribute to the stability and functionality of axonemes—the core structures of cilia and flagella. Abnormalities in TEKT1 expression and function have been associated with male infertility and other ciliopathies, underscoring its potential as a biomarker for reproductive health. Moreover, studies have indicated that TEKT1 might participate in regulatory mechanisms that affect cell signaling pathways, further highlighting its significance in cellular dynamics. As such, the recombinant expression and purification of TEKT1 have become a focal point of research to elucidate its biological functions and interactions at a molecular level. Understanding the properties of TEKT1 through recombinant protein studies can facilitate the development of therapeutic strategies to address infertility and related diseases linked to ciliary dysfunction.
