Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
EDG4, also known as S1P5 (sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor 5), is a member of the endothelial differentiation gene (EDG) family of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) that play crucial roles in cellular signaling processes related to immune response, cell proliferation, and migration. Research on EDG4 is particularly significant due to its involvement in various physiological and pathological conditions, such as cancer progression, neurodegenerative diseases, and cardiovascular disorders. The receptor is primarily activated by sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P), a bioactive lipid mediator that influences numerous cellular functions. Understanding the molecular mechanisms of EDG4 signaling pathways is essential for developing targeted therapeutic strategies, particularly in diseases where S1P signaling is dysregulated. Moreover, the production of recombinant EDG4 protein has facilitated advancements in structural and functional studies, allowing researchers to elucidate its role in cell signaling and its potential as a drug target. Given the receptor's expression in different tissues and its functional diversity, ongoing studies aim to explore its therapeutic implications in modulating immune responses and precision medicine approaches.
