  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

TAAR1, or trace amine-associated receptor 1, is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor family and plays a crucial role in the modulation of neurotransmitter systems, particularly in the regulation of dopamine and serotonin pathways. Initially identified in the context of mood and behavioral disorders, research into TAAR1 has expanded significantly due to its implications in various neuropsychiatric conditions, including schizophrenia, depression, and substance use disorders. The receptor is activated by endogenous trace amines, such as phenethylamine and tryptamine, which influence neuronal signaling. The interest in TAAR1 has grown alongside the exploration of new therapeutic avenues, aiming to leverage its unique signaling properties to develop drugs that can modify dopamine-related functions without the side effects associated with traditional antipsychotics. Recombination techniques to produce TAAR1 proteins have become essential for investigating its structure-function relationships, binding affinities, and cellular signaling mechanisms. These studies not only enhance our understanding of TAAR1's role in mental health but also pave the way for novel pharmacological agents aimed at modulating its activity to treat various disorders effectively. Overall, the research on TAAR1 recombinant proteins is a burgeoning field with the potential to redefine approaches in psychiatric and neuropharmacological therapies.
