Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SV2B, or synaptic vesicle glycoprotein 2B, is a crucial protein involved in the regulation of neurotransmitter release in the central nervous system. It plays a vital role in synaptic transmission by facilitating the docking and fusion of synaptic vesicles with the presynaptic membrane, thus influencing synaptic strength and plasticity. Research into the SV2B protein encompasses its structure, function, and the molecular mechanisms underlying its role in neural communication. Scientists have identified that SV2B, along with its family members SV2A and SV2C, exhibits distinct but overlapping functions, with SV2B being particularly implicated in the modulation of neurotransmitter release during high-frequency stimulation. Studies have also suggested that SV2B may serve as a binding site for certain drugs, such as antiepileptic medications, potentially impacting their efficacy in treating neurological disorders. The exploration of SV2B's role has profound implications not only for understanding basic synaptic functions but also for investigating therapeutic targets related to various psychiatric and neurological conditions. As neurobiological research advances, SV2B continues to be a focal point for studies aiming to unravel the complexities of synaptic mechanisms and their contributions to overall brain function.
