Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SUV420H1 is a histone methyltransferase that primarily mediates the trimethylation of histone H4 at lysine 20 (H4K20me3), a key modification associated with chromatin compaction and gene repression. The study of SUV420H1 has gained significance due to its fundamental role in regulating gene expression, cellular differentiation, and development. Abnormalities in histone methylation patterns, including those mediated by SUV420H1, have been implicated in various diseases, including cancer. Recent research highlights its involvement in the maintenance of stem cell pluripotency and the regulation of DNA damage response pathways. Understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying SUV420H1 function is crucial for exploring its potential as a therapeutic target. Investigations are now focusing on the structural biology of SUV420H1, its interaction with other chromatin-modifying enzymes, and the identification of novel substrates. By elucidating the intricate network of protein interactions and modifications driven by SUV420H1, researchers aim to gain insights into its broader implications in epigenetic regulation and cellular homeostasis. The exploration of SUV420H1's role in health and disease could lead to the development of innovative strategies for the treatment of conditions linked to dysregulated histone methylation.
