Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
STX18, or Syntaxin 18, is a member of the syntaxin family of proteins, which are essential components of the SNARE (Soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptor) complex involved in membrane trafficking and fusion processes within eukaryotic cells. This protein plays a critical role in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and is implicated in various cellular functions, including protein transport, sorting, and secretion. Research has shown that STX18 is involved in maintaining the integrity of the ER membrane and is crucial for the proper functioning of cellular homeostasis. Studies have also indicated its potential link to neurodegenerative diseases and various cancers, making it a significant target for therapeutic intervention. The recombinant production of STX18 has gained attention, as it provides an opportunity to study its structural and functional properties in detail. By utilizing methods such as genetic engineering and expression in suitable host systems, researchers can obtain large quantities of this protein for biochemical assays, structural studies, and functional analyses. Understanding the molecular mechanisms regulated by STX18 may not only unveil its role in fundamental cellular processes but could also lead to novel strategies in treating diseases associated with its dysregulation. Overall, the research surrounding STX18 and its recombinant protein is critical for advancing our knowledge of cellular biology and developing potential therapeutic applications.
