Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
UGT2B7, a member of the UDP-glucuronosyltransferase (UGT) family, plays a crucial role in the metabolism of a wide range of therapeutic drugs, hormones, and endogenous substances by facilitating their glucuronidation. This biochemical process is essential for the detoxification and elimination of potentially harmful compounds from the body. Dysregulation or polymorphisms in the UGT2B7 gene can lead to altered drug metabolism, impacting therapeutic efficacy and safety. Given the increasing complexity and precision of modern pharmacotherapy, understanding the functional dynamics of UGT2B7 is essential for personalized medicine approaches. Research has focused on the recombinant expression of UGT2B7 to study its enzymatic properties, substrate specificity, and interactions with various drugs. By utilizing advanced molecular biology techniques, scientists aim to produce high-yield, active forms of UGT2B7 in heterologous expression systems such as yeast or mammalian cells. This facilitates the investigation of enzyme kinetics, the identification of novel substrates, and the elucidation of the effects of genetic variations on drug metabolism. Additionally, characterizing UGT2B7's role in drug-drug interactions and its influence on individual responses to medication can inform clinical decision-making, optimize dosing regimens, and ultimately improve patient outcomes. As such, the study of UGT2B7 reveals essential insights into the fundamental mechanisms of drug metabolism and highlights the importance of this enzyme in pharmacogenomics and therapeutic development.
