Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
STARD6, a member of the START (Steroidogenic Acutely Regulated) domain protein family, plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism and cellular signaling. The study of STARD6 has gained significant attention due to its involvement in various biological processes, including cholesterol transport and membrane dynamics, as well as its potential implications in diseases such as cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. Research indicates that STARD6 facilitates the transfer of lipids between membranes, thereby influencing lipid composition and cellular responses to external stimuli. Its expression is often upregulated in response to stress conditions, suggesting a protective role in cellular homeostasis. Furthermore, emerging evidence suggests that STARD6 may interact with other signaling pathways, highlighting its potential as a biomarker and therapeutic target in pathological conditions. Understanding the mechanisms underlying STARD6 function and regulation could provide insights into lipid-related diseases and contribute to the development of novel therapeutic strategies. Thus, ongoing research into STARD6 recombinant protein expression, characterization, and functional analysis continues to be of paramount interest in the fields of cell biology and biochemistry.
