Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ACSS2 (Acetyl-CoA synthetase 2) is a critical enzyme involved in the metabolism of acetate, converting acetate to acetyl-CoA, a key metabolic intermediate that plays a vital role in various biochemical pathways, including energy production, lipid synthesis, and the citric acid cycle. Its significance has become increasingly evident with the growing understanding of metabolic dysregulation in diseases such as cancer, obesity, and neurodegenerative disorders. Research has shown that ACSS2 is upregulated in certain cancer types, suggesting a pivotal role in supporting tumor growth by facilitating anabolic processes and enabling cancer cells to thrive in low-nutrient environments. The study of ACSS2 recombinant protein is essential for elucidating its functional properties, structural characteristics, and regulatory mechanisms. By producing and characterizing ACSS2 in a laboratory setting, researchers aim to investigate its enzymatic activity, substrate specificity, and interaction with other metabolic pathways. Furthermore, understanding the role of ACSS2 in energy homeostasis and its response to physiological and pathological stimuli could lead to novel therapeutic strategies aimed at targeting metabolic pathways in various diseases. As such, the recombinant expression of ACSS2 provides a crucial tool for advancing our knowledge of its biological functions and potential as a drug target in metabolic diseases and cancers.
