  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

DSN1 is a crucial component of the kinetochore, a protein structure on the chromosome that ensures accurate chromosome segregation during cell division. Specifically, it plays an essential role in the attachment of spindle microtubules to chromosomes, facilitating their movement during mitosis and meiosis. Research into DSN1 has gained momentum due to its implications in understanding various cellular processes and its potential link to diseases such as cancer, where misregulation of cell division can lead to chromosomal instability. The DSN1 protein is highly conserved across species, making it an attractive subject for studies involving varied organisms, ranging from yeast to humans. Investigations into the structure and function of DSN1 often utilize recombinant protein techniques to produce and purify the protein for biochemical assays, structural studies, and interaction analyses. By studying DSN1, researchers aim to illuminate its precise role in kinetochore dynamics and its interactions with other kinetochore proteins, thereby contributing to a broader understanding of mitotic regulation and its significance in maintaining genomic integrity.
