Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
EGFL6 (Epidermal Growth Factor-Like Protein 6) is a member of the epidermal growth factor (EGF) family, which plays a pivotal role in various biological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. Recent studies have highlighted its crucial involvement in developmental and pathological processes, particularly in vascular development and tumor biology. Researchers have identified that EGFL6 is overexpressed in several cancers, implicating it in tumor progression and metastasis. Its unique structure, characterized by multiple EGF-like domains, suggests potential interactions with various cell surface receptors, which may modulate signaling pathways critical for cell behavior. The recombinant expression of the EGFL6 protein has emerged as a vital tool for facilitating a deeper understanding of its functions and mechanisms. Through techniques such as molecular cloning and protein purification, scientists aim to elucidate the role of EGFL6 in cellular contexts, assess its potential as a therapeutic target, and explore its utility as a biomarker for cancer diagnosis and prognosis. The recombinant EGFL6 protein offers opportunities for in vitro and in vivo studies, enabling researchers to investigate its effects on cell fate decisions and to design innovative strategies for cancer treatment that leverage the protein's biological properties. Overall, the study of EGFL6 offers promising insights into its biological significance and potential therapeutic applications in oncology.
