Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CYP7B1, a member of the cytochrome P450 enzyme family, plays a critical role in the metabolism of various steroid hormones and retinoids, and is particularly known for its involvement in bile acid synthesis. Its primary function is to catalyze the hydroxylation of sterol substrates, which is crucial for cholesterol homeostasis and the regulation of bile acid levels in the liver. Dysregulation of CYP7B1 has been implicated in several metabolic disorders, including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and certain forms of cancer. Given its significant role in lipid metabolism and potential therapeutic implications, the study of recombinant CYP7B1 protein has gained traction. Researchers aim to produce this protein in a recombinant form to facilitate detailed biochemical characterization, explore its enzymatic mechanisms, and assess its interactions with various substrates. Such studies could potentially uncover novel regulatory mechanisms in bile acid biosynthesis and lead to the development of targeted therapies for associated diseases. Additionally, understanding CYP7B1's role could provide insight into its evolutionary conservation and adaptation in different species, further emphasizing its biological importance. The recombinant protein serves as a valuable tool for exploring these pathways and may ultimately contribute to advancements in personalized medicine and metabolic health.
