Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PLA2G5, or Phospholipase A2 Group V, is a member of the phospholipase A2 family, which plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism and inflammatory responses. Its primary function involves hydrolyzing phospholipids to release arachidonic acid, a precursor for bioactive lipid mediators, including prostaglandins and leukotrienes, that are pivotal in various physiological and pathological processes. Research has shown that PLA2G5 is implicated in several disease states, including cardiovascular diseases, neurodegenerative disorders, and certain cancers, indicating its potential as a therapeutic target. In recent years, the study of PLA2G5 has gained momentum, focusing on the characterization of its biochemical properties, regulatory mechanisms, and the implications of its activity in health and disease. The development of recombinant PLA2G5 protein has facilitated detailed investigations into its structural and functional attributes, allowing researchers to explore its enzymatic properties and interactions with other cellular components. Furthermore, understanding the role of PLA2G5 in inflammation and cell signaling pathways has opened avenues for novel therapeutic interventions aimed at modulating its activity. As such, ongoing research into PLA2G5 is essential for elucidating its contributions to metabolic health and disease mechanisms, providing insights for potential clinical applications and the development of innovative treatments targeting PLA2G5-mediated pathways.
