Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
S100A9 is a member of the S100 family of calcium-binding proteins that plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including inflammation, cell differentiation, and immune response. Its expression is notably upregulated in various pathological conditions such as cancer, autoimmune diseases, and chronic inflammatory disorders, making it a potential biomarker for disease diagnosis and prognosis. Research has shown that S100A9 interacts with several receptors and signaling pathways, contributing to its pro-inflammatory effects and involvement in the regulation of immune cell functions. The recombinant expression of S100A9 protein enables detailed studies into its structure-function relationships and biological activities. Scientists are particularly interested in how the protein modulates inflammatory responses and its potential as a therapeutic target or biomarker. Given its significance in diseases, characterizing and understanding the functions of recombinant S100A9 at a molecular level is vital for the development of novel diagnostic tools and treatment strategies. Thus, ongoing research focuses on elucidating the role of S100A9 in various diseases, enhancing our understanding of its mechanisms and paving the way for therapeutic interventions that could mitigate its adverse effects in pathological contexts.
