  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

SIK1 (Salt-Inducible Kinase 1) is a serine/threonine kinase belonging to the AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) family, known for its role in cellular energy regulation, metabolism, and stress response. Research on SIK1 has gained significance due to its involvement in various biological processes, including cell proliferation, apoptosis, and inflammation. Additionally, SIK1 has been implicated in several pathological conditions such as cancer and metabolic disorders, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. Studies have shown that SIK1 can modulate the activity of numerous downstream effectors, influencing key signaling pathways and contributing to cellular homeostasis. The ability to produce recombinant SIK1 protein enables researchers to explore its functional roles in detail, facilitating the investigation of its interactions with other proteins and the characterization of its enzymatic activity. This progress is crucial for understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying SIK1's influence on disease states and developing novel strategies for intervention. As such, research on recombinant SIK1 protein not only enhances our fundamental knowledge of cellular signaling but also paves the way for innovative therapeutic approaches in the treatment of diseases associated with dysregulated kinase activity.
