Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
COG4 (Conserved Oligomeric Golgi complex 4) is a vital component of the COG complex, which plays a critical role in maintaining Golgi architecture and facilitating intracellular transport processes, particularly in the glycosylation of proteins. Research into COG4 and its function has gained momentum due to its implications in various cellular functions, including Golgi organization, protein sorting, and membrane trafficking. Mutations or deficiencies in COG4 have been linked to various developmental disorders and diseases, including congenital disorders of glycosylation, highlighting its importance in human health. The study of COG4 as a recombinant protein has enabled researchers to dissect its structural and functional properties in detail. Expression systems, such as bacteria and yeast, are often employed to produce COG4 in a purified form, allowing for in vitro assays and functional studies. Understanding COG4's mechanisms and interactions is crucial for elucidating the broader role of the COG complex in health and disease, paving the way for potential therapeutic interventions targeting Golgi transport pathways. Insights gained from this research not only enhance our fundamental knowledge of cellular biology but may also contribute to the development of strategies to treat related genetic disorders.
