  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

SGTB (Sulfated Glycoprotein from Tetranychus urticae) is a protein of significant interest due to its involvement in various biological processes and potential applications in biotechnology and medicine. The study of SGTB has emerged from the need to better understand the complex interactions between arthropods and their environments, particularly in the context of pest management and crop protection. Research indicates that SGTB may play a crucial role in the reproduction, development, and immune response of the Tetranychus urticae, a prominent spider mite that poses a challenge to agricultural productivity. As agricultural practices increasingly seek sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions, the exploration of SGTB could lead to the development of innovative pest control strategies. Moreover, the potential of SGTB as a model for understanding glycoprotein functions and their biochemical pathways amplifies its significance. Studies focusing on the recombinant production of SGTB have also gained traction, as this approach facilitates the elucidation of its structure-function relationships and paves the way for industrial applications, such as the creation of biopesticides. Additionally, understanding the molecular dynamics of SGTB can contribute to advancements in drug design and therapeutic interventions, given the growing interest in protein-based treatments. Overall, the ongoing research on SGTB acts as a bridge connecting agricultural science, molecular biology, and biotechnology, highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary approaches in addressing current agricultural challenges.
