Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
COG1, a subunit of the conserved oligomeric Golgi (COG) complex, plays a crucial role in maintaining Golgi structure and function, as well as in the trafficking of glycoproteins and lipids. The COG complex, consisting of eight distinct subunits, is integral to the retrograde transport of proteins from the Golgi back to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), thereby ensuring proper cellular homeostasis. Research has indicated that dysfunction of COG complexes, including COG1, is linked to various diseases, particularly congenital disorders of glycosylation, which manifest in severe developmental and metabolic deficiencies. Furthermore, COG1's involvement in the regulation of exocytosis and endocytosis highlights its importance in cellular communication and secretion processes. Investigating the structure and function of COG1 can provide insights into the fundamental mechanisms of cellular transport and the potential impact of its dysregulation in diseases. Recent advances in molecular biology and biochemistry techniques have enabled a deeper understanding of COG1 interactions within the COG complex and with other cellular components. By elucidating the precise roles of COG1, researchers aim to develop targeted therapeutic strategies to correct the underlying transport defects associated with its dysfunction. Overall, the study of COG1 and its associated pathways remains a significant area of investigation within cell biology, with implications for improving our understanding of complex cellular processes and addressing related disease states.
