Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CLPB (Caseinolytic peptidase B) is a mitochondrial chaperone that plays a crucial role in protein quality control and the maintenance of mitochondrial function. As a member of the AAA+ (ATPases Associated with diverse cellular Activities) ATPase family, CLPB is involved in the refolding and degradation of misfolded proteins, thereby preventing their aggregation and ensuring cellular homeostasis. Recent research has highlighted the significance of CLPB in various cellular processes, including stress response and apoptosis, as well as its potential implications in age-related diseases and neurodegenerative disorders. The study of CLPB as a recombinant protein offers insights into its structure-function relationships, enzymatic activity, and interaction with substrate proteins. This knowledge is essential for understanding the mechanistic pathways of mitochondrial dysfunction linked to CLPB abnormalities. Furthermore, recombinant CLPB can be utilized in therapeutic strategies aimed at restoring mitochondrial health or improving protein homeostasis in diseases characterized by proteotoxicity. Thus, ongoing investigations into the biochemistry and applications of CLPB not only advance our fundamental understanding of mitochondrial biology but also open avenues for innovative treatments targeting mitochondrial diseases.
