Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CLDN14, or Claudin-14, is a member of the claudin family of proteins, which play a critical role in tight junction formation and maintenance within epithelial cells, influencing paracellular permeability. Research on CLDN14 has gained prominence due to its association with various biological processes and diseases, particularly in the context of hearing loss and renal function. Mutations in the CLDN14 gene have been linked to syndromic forms of hearing impairment, emphasizing its significance in auditory structures. Additionally, CLDN14 is implicated in kidney pathophysiology, where its expression can affect ion transport, fluid balance, and overall kidney health. The recombinant expression of CLDN14 allows researchers to study its structural and functional properties in vitro, providing insights into its mechanism of action in cellular junctions and its role in pathologies. The purification of CLDN14 as a recombinant protein facilitates its use in functional assays and structural studies, which are essential for understanding how alterations in CLDN14 affect cellular integrity and contribute to disease states. This research may pave the way for therapeutic interventions aimed at correcting or compensating for the effects of aberrant CLDN14 function in related disorders.
