Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SEC23B is a pivotal protein involved in the process of vesicle transport, specifically in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) to Golgi apparatus pathway. It plays a critical role in the formation and budding of COPII vesicles, which are responsible for transporting newly synthesized proteins and lipids from the ER to the Golgi for further processing and sorting. Mutations in the SEC23B gene have been linked to various disorders, including congenital dyserythropoietic anemia type II (CDA II), a blood disorder characterized by abnormal erythropoiesis and impaired red blood cell production. This association highlights the essential function of SEC23B in maintaining cellular homeostasis and proper erythrocyte development. Researchers have increasingly focused on characterizing SEC23B to better understand the mechanisms underlying such diseases and to explore potential therapeutic strategies. Structural studies, as well as functional assays, have revealed insights into SEC23B’s interaction with other proteins and the regulatory pathways involved in cargo selection and vesicle formation. Furthermore, the study of SEC23B has implications for understanding broader processes of intracellular transport and the impact of its dysregulation on various biological functions. Understanding the intricate details of SEC23B can pave the way for targeted interventions in related pathologies and enhance our comprehension of vesicular trafficking's role in cell biology.
