Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
DCTN1 (Dynactin Subunit 1) is a crucial protein for the function of the dynactin complex, which plays an essential role in cellular transport processes by linking dynein motor proteins to their cargo. Mutations in the DCTN1 gene have been implicated in various neurodegenerative diseases, most notably Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), underscoring its importance in neuronal function and integrity. Investigating DCTN1 recombinant protein is pivotal for understanding its structural and functional properties, as well as its role in disease mechanisms. Functional studies utilizing DCTN1 protein can illuminate how its dysregulation affects intracellular transport pathways and contributes to neurodegeneration. Moreover, recombinantly expressed DCTN1 can serve as a valuable tool for biophysical characterizations and drug screening, potentially leading to therapeutic insights. Given the pressing need for effective treatments for related neurodegenerative diseases, research focused on DCTN1 holds promise not only for elucidating fundamental biological processes but also for aiding in the development of targeted interventions.
