Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GPC5 (glypican-5) is a heparan sulfate proteoglycan belonging to the glypican family, which plays a significant role in cell signaling, growth, and development. It is primarily expressed in various tissues during embryogenesis and is implicated in numerous pathological conditions, including cancer. Recent studies have suggested that GPC5 may act as a tumor suppressor in certain types of cancer, as its expression levels are often altered in tumor tissues compared to normal tissues. This has prompted researchers to explore the potential of GPC5 as a biomarker for diagnosis and prognosis, as well as a target for therapeutic interventions. The recombinant protein of GPC5 has been utilized in various assays to better understand its structure-function relationship, mechanisms of action, and interactions with other signaling molecules. Given its relevance in cancer biology, the development and characterization of GPC5 recombinant protein not only advance our understanding of its biological functions but also open avenues for novel cancer treatment strategies. The ongoing research efforts aim to elucidate the precise roles of GPC5 in tumor progression and its potential utility in clinical applications, ultimately contributing to improved cancer management and therapeutic outcomes.
