  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CD248, also known as Endosialin, is a transmembrane protein primarily expressed in stromal cells, endothelial cells, and certain types of tumors. It plays a significant role in modulating various cellular processes, including proliferation, migration, and the extracellular matrix remodeling, making it a potential target for therapeutic interventions in cancer and fibrosis. Research into CD248 has increased due to its involvement in tumor-associated stroma and its potential as a biomarker for cancer progression. Studies have demonstrated that CD248 contributes to the activation of fibroblasts and the promotion of angiogenesis, which are critical in the tumor microenvironment. The development of CD248 recombinant proteins has facilitated investigations into its functional roles and interactions in cellular signaling pathways. By understanding how CD248 influences tumor microenvironments, researchers aim to explore its potential as a target for drug development, particularly in therapies aimed at inhibiting tumor growth and metastasis. The ongoing exploration of CD248's mechanism of action and its interactions in various biological contexts continues to provide valuable insights into its implications in cancer biology and pathology.
