Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
EsxA is a small, secreted protein associated with the pathogenicity of various bacteria, particularly mycobacteria, such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis (the causative agent of tuberculosis) and Mycobacterium abscessus. This protein plays a crucial role in the immune response, as it is involved in modulating host defenses and facilitating bacterial survival within the host. The study of EsxA has gained significant attention due to its potential as a target for vaccine development and immunotherapy. Research indicates that EsxA can induce the activation of T cells and the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, which are essential for effective immune responses. Additionally, EsxA is part of the Esx secretion system, which is critical for the delivery of virulence factors facilitating bacterial invasion and evasion of the host's immune system. Understanding the structure, function, and interactions of EsxA at the molecular level can provide insights into its role in pathogenesis and enable the development of novel therapeutic strategies. Moreover, characterizing recombinant EsxA and its derivatives can enhance our knowledge of its immunogenic properties, paving the way for advancements in diagnostic tools and vaccines against mycobacterial infections. Overall, the exploration of EsxA and its recombinant forms is essential for elucidating underlying mechanisms of bacterial virulence and designing effective interventions to combat mycobacterial diseases.
