Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SEMA4D, or Semaphorin 4D, is a member of the semaphorin family, which plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including neural development, immune response, and tumorigenesis. Initially identified for its role in axon guidance during nervous system development, SEMA4D has garnered significant attention due to its involvement in cancer biology. It is expressed in various tissues and is particularly noted for its effects on cell adhesion, migration, and the immune system's regulation. In the tumor microenvironment, SEMA4D can modulate immune cell trafficking and function, contributing to tumor growth and metastasis. Furthermore, studies have suggested that SEMA4D interacts with its receptors, such as Plexin-B1 and Neuropilin-1, to influence signaling pathways that affect angiogenesis and immune evasion in cancers. Understanding the structure-function relationship of SEMA4D and its signaling mechanisms has emerged as a vital area of research, with potential implications for therapeutic interventions in cancer and other diseases. Investigating the recombinant forms of SEMA4D can provide insights into its biological activities and help develop targeted therapies that could inhibit its pro-tumorigenic effects, paving the way for innovative cancer treatment strategies.
