Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CCDC2 (Coiled-Coil Domain Containing 2) is a gene encoding a protein that plays a crucial role in cellular processes, particularly in cilia formation and function. Cilia are essential organelles involved in various signaling pathways, and defects in ciliary proteins have been associated with a range of diseases, including ciliopathies, which can lead to issues such as renal dysplasia, infertility, and respiratory problems. Research into the recombinant CCDC2 protein aims to elucidate its specific functions and interactions within the ciliary structure, thereby enhancing our understanding of ciliary dynamics and the molecular mechanisms behind related disorders. By producing and analyzing recombinant CCDC2, researchers can investigate its role in protein complexes involved in cilia assembly and maintenance, offering insights into potential therapeutic targets for ciliary dysfunction. Additionally, studying CCDC2 in model organisms could further reveal its biological significance, paving the way for novel interventions in cilia-related diseases. Therefore, the exploration of CCDC2's recombinant protein is vital not only for basic science but also for the development of clinical applications addressing inherited and acquired ciliary diseases.
