  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CBX2, or Chromobox 2, is a member of the Polycomb group proteins, which are crucial for regulating gene expression and maintaining cellular identity during development. It plays a pivotal role in transcriptional repression through its association with chromatin and recruitment of histone-modifying enzymes. Research on CBX2 has gained momentum due to its involvement in stem cell biology, differentiation processes, and its implications in various malignancies, notably in reproductive cancers. Alterations in CBX2 expression have been linked to tumorigenesis, suggesting its potential as a biomarker for diagnosis and a target for therapeutic intervention. Moreover, its role in embryonic development, particularly in pluripotent stem cells, emphasizes the need for a deeper understanding of CBX2's mechanisms. The study of recombinant CBX2 proteins aims to elucidate their structure-function relationships, interactions with other proteins, and their dynamic role in chromatin remodeling. Such investigations could provide insights into the fundamental principles of epigenetic regulation and open new avenues for innovative cancer treatments and regenerative medicine strategies. Consequently, the production and characterization of recombinant CBX2 proteins are crucial for advancing our understanding of its biological functions and therapeutic potential.
